A great crag for intermediate to advanced climbers. With local classic highballs, shorter testpieces, and open projects, all without being overly tidal. The only issue is being shot at: If you see a red flag, the crag is a no go; If you hear the crack of a bullet: Duck!
Approach: Access to the boulders on the left is trivial, to get behind the fort take the northern path onto the rocks.
Nesting: Birds do nest on top of Grendel, so during the normal nesting season keep your distance, unless you like being shouted at by oystercatchers.
